Cancellation Policy

Thank you for booking your holiday at The Norsemen-Walker Lake Resort. Because of our small size, cancellations and changes affect us significantly and we have little chance to re-book cancelled reservations. Therefore, we must adhere to a firm deposit and cancellation policy. Cancellations made more than 60 days before arrival date forfeit the deposit unless the accommodation is re-rented for the same time period as the original reservation. A $200.00 administration fee will apply. Cancellation made within 60 days of arrival date are liable for the full reservation costs. This will automatically be billed to your credit card.

The Property does not supervise the use of our watercraft or the lake for swimming. You are responsible for your use of the equipment and for any minors under your care. You are responsible for knowing and complying with the regulations that apply to all persons using watercraft in Ontario waters. All power boat operators must have a valid operators license. All users of our watercraft must ensure they carry with them on the watercraft the required safety equipment such as lifejackets and an Ontario-regulation boat safety kit. Alcoholic drinks are not allowed on any watercraft.

The fire pit is a shared resource that can be used by all guests at the same time who wish to do so. The firepit can be used between 6:00pm and 11:00pm. The firepit must never be left un-attended. It is the responsibility of the last guest leaving the firepit to fully extinguish the fire. Fully extinguishing the fire means to pour lake water on the wood, coals and rocks surrounding the firepit until no embers or smoke remains.
