The Muskoka Experience is different for each person.
Everyone takes away their own unique memories.

In the next few days we will be adding maps, photos and stories of Muskoka, showing the area and many of the sights and activities it has to offer.

Only 2 hours north of Toronto there is a popular "cottage country" area called Muskoka,   It is the ideal refuge for those escaping the hectic pace of urban survival.

There are many testimonials to the appeal of such a unique landscape, combining tranquil settings, wilderness and the opportunity for making exceptional memories.

Wilderness hiking, camping and canoe tripping is available in Algonquin Park. The town of Huntsville has a full variety of stores and services. A half dozen world class golf courses are situated throughout the area.

In winter there is downhill skiing at Ontario's renowned Hidden Valley Ski Resort. There is cross-country skiing and groomed snowmobile trails throughout the area.

There are dozens of lakes, and many of them have an 8 mph speed limit. (no sea-doo's or noisy water-skiing), the popular activities include swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, sail boarding or just loitering on the peaceful dock with a book.

We would like to welcome you to the best Muskoka Experience available - anywhere.

About This Page
The first question many people might ask is, "Why?"
Why have a page about this particular area of Ontario?
    What is it's purpose?

There are several reasons to showcase the area.   We want to point out the sensory experience that so many people miss.

There are many large resorts in the Muskoka area. They offer conference facilities, coffee shops, structured activities, and all the same amenities as their big city brethren. That's fine for business meetings, and it's a vacation environment that suits some people, but there's so much more to see.

.... to be continued.
